Removing Spyware. Use cCleaner First

March 8th, 2010 Posted in blog

cCleaner is a program I install on nearly every computer I touch. It’s not only good for maintaining a computer and optimizing it, but it can also speed up the spyware/virus removal process.

You “Temporary Internet Files” folder can blow up fast. Most computers have about 1GB3GB of these useless files on their computer, and cCleaner will delete them safely and reclaim your space. Spyware/virus scanners can spend lots of times combing through these useless files which drags out the removal process, so running cCleaner at the beginning is a must. Another benefit to running cCleaner first, is that it will remove spyware files that originate from the “Temporary Internet Files” folder as well.

cCleaner also has am excellent registry cleaner, and a utility to allows you to disable and delete startup tasks. Enjoy the video, and please post comments and questions.
