88 Percent Of Fortune 500 Infected By Zeus

April 22nd, 2010 Posted in blog

The RSA CyberCrime Intelligence Service, suggests that 441 out of 500 Fortune 500 companies has been infected by a virus called Zues Botnet, which is capable of stealing data submitted over the Internet, capturing Windows login information, stealing and mimicking e-mail account settings, redirecting victims to ones malicious sites, taking snapshots while you use your computer, download and execute other malicious programs, and delete files that allows Windows to function properly.

The sad thing is that the Zeus Trojan is detected less than 45 percent of the time. Keep in mind that most corporations use a Symantec of McAfee solution, which are two solutions I highly recommend avoiding.

I know they are extremely popular, but at the end of the day your computer is still vulnerable to virus attacks. I recommend AVG or Kapersky. They are industry leading anti virus programs, that don’t place a hurting on your pocket either.
